SECO uses social media to communicate transparently on business and economic topics.

SECO netiquette

We welcome you to follow and comment on SECO's social media posts. Comment sections should foster open exchange and constructive debate. Critical contributions are welcome, provided they mantain a respectful tone. We ask that you observe the following principles.

  • Share accurate information and express yourself respectfully.
  • Keep your comments relevant to the topic of the post.
  • Be open to opinions that differ from your own.

SECO welcomes criticism and every user is free to express their views on our channels. To ensure that exchanges remain respectful, however, we reserve the right to remove comments. In accordance with the Federal Council Decision of 19 June 2024, a comment may be deleted if it:

  • incites hatred, violence or unlawful acts;
  • is defamatory or harmful to a person's dignity, is discriminatory, is pornographic or depicts acts of violence;
  • poses a risk to personal health or safety;
  • contains commercial advertising;
  • is clearly automated or bot-generated;
  • is off-topic and posted repeatedly;
  • is demonstrably false, posted repeatedly and intended to spread disinformation.

SECO's communications are grounded in facts: accurate and objective, even where the information concerned may reflect critically on the institution.
