Standards
International standards form the basis of accreditation. They set out clear requirements for conformity assessments and for the accreditation process itself. Uniform standards ensure comparable results worldwide and strengthen confidence in test reports, certificates and the quality of assessments.

3. Standards with additional accreditation requirements
The international accreditation organizations Global ACI and EA as well as the SAS itself, have established a series of guides and mandatory documents, which support applicants, accredited bodies and also SAS auditors with the branch relevant application of the standards. These documents can be downloaded for free from the website of all four organizations.
