Information for companies

SECO has published a brochure on corruption in international business transactions. The brochure can help companies to become familiar with the applicable regulations of the Swiss criminal law.

It highlights the effects of corruption on businesses and proposes measures that can be taken to prevent and actively combat corrupt conduct. The legal terms are illustrated by different real-life scenarios.

The brochure is the result of the cooperation of the Swiss Federal Office of Justice, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, economiesuisse, ICC Switzerland, Transparency International Switzerland and HTW Chur. A third, updated edition was published in November 2017.

Preventing corruption – Information for Swiss businesses operating abroad

The brochure provides Swiss companies operating abroad advice on the active prevention of corruption. The subject has become topical given the backdrop of stricter legal provisions that entered into force.
