Sanctions: Ordinance on Measures against Venezuela
Bern, 10.07.2018 - The Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER has amended Annex 1 of the Ordinance. On March 28, 2018, the Federal Council had adopted sanctions measures against Venezuela in line with the EU. Following the presidential elections on 20 May 2018, which were neither free nor fair, and had a large deficit of legitimacy, the EU has placed 11 others under sanctions. With the amendment of Annex 1 these persons are now also included in the Swiss sanctions list.
