Federal council proposes package of measures to support the media

Bern, 28.08.2019 - On 28 August 2019, the Federal Council called for efficient and rapidly implementable measures for the online media and newspapers. In the first half of 2020 it will submit to Parliament a package of measures to support the media. This will provide financial re-sources for the online media. In addition, more daily and weekly newspapers than be-fore will benefit from indirect press support. The Federal Council will not propose a new Federal Act on Electronic Media.
