Objective of the awareness-raising events
The events will provide inspiration and practical support for Swiss companies of different size and industries in implementing human rights due diligence. The events also aim to present the latest national and international developments in regulations and standards.

3rd Swiss Forum on Business and Human Rights
The 3rd Swiss Forum on Business and Human Rights will take place on Monday, 2 November 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of the OECD Guidelines and the 15th anniversary of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Jointly organized by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), it brings together businesses, authorities, academia and civil society for a multi-stakeholder dialogue on responsible business conduct, featuring plenary sessions and thematic workshops (artificial intelligence, sustainable finance, sport, just transition, grievance mechanisms, etc.).
Webinars on “Just Transition: Exploring practical approaches”
How can the energy transition be shaped in a socially just, inclusive and human rights-based way?
The transition to a more climate-friendly economy brings far-reaching changes for companies, supply chains, workers and affected communities. The concept of “Just Transition” focuses on how climate action can be implemented in a way that takes social impacts into account and respects human rights.
As part of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (NAP) 2024–2027, SECO and the FDFA are organising two practice-oriented webinars on “Just Transition” in autumn 2026. The events build on the Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue held on 24 June 2026 and will explore key questions around human rights due diligence in the context of the energy transition in greater depth.
The webinars will take a closer look at concrete approaches and case studies and provide space for exchange and discussion from different perspectives, with the aim of integrating human rights considerations into climate strategies, transformation processes and supply chain measures at an early stage.
The events are aimed at companies based in Switzerland, as well as representatives of business associations, public administration, civil society, international organisations and other expert communities working on climate action, human rights and Just Transition.
