Federal Accreditation Commission (AKKO)

The Federal Accreditation Commission (AKKO) advises the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) on strategic accreditation matters. The Commission is appointed by the Federal Council and ensures that the interests of business, academia and civil society are taken into account, thereby strengthening the independence, transparency and quality of accreditation in Switzerland.

The Federal Accreditation Commission (AKKO) is appointed by the Federal Council and advises the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) on all accreditation matters. It ensures that interested parties from business, academia, and consumer and professional associations are involved in strategic decision-making processes.

Swiss Accreditation Service SAS

The Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) is Switzerland’s national accreditation body and part of SECO. It accredits conformity assessment bodies in accordance with international standards, thereby fostering trust and ensuring comparability.
