Employment growth in 1st quarter 2023 stable at a high level

Neuchâtel, 26.05.2023 - In the 1st quarter 2023, the total employment (number of jobs) rose by 2.2% in comparison with the same quarter a year earlier (seasonally adjusted +0.6% compared with the previous quarter). Calculated in full-time equivalents, this was an increase in jobs of 2.4%. Companies reported a total of 7100 (+5.9%) more vacancies than a year earlier and the employment outlook indicator was still positive. These are some of the latest findings from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
