The composite indicator “Swiss economic confidence” (SECO-SEC) contains 40 domestic survey indicators with favourable leading properties. It provides a reliable picture of the Swiss economic sentiment and allows an early detection of turning points in the business cycle.

- The set of suitable indicators was updated for the publication of the SEC-index in January 2026. A total of 40 indicators now meet the selection criteria (previously 30).
