Forum PME 28.03.2024

The members of the SME Forum

The SME Forum, founded by the Federal Council in 1998, is an extra-parliamentary commission of experts. The forum is committed to drawing the federal administration's attention to the needs of small and medium enterprises.

Tasks

One of the SME forum's main tasks is to participate in consultations on federal laws or ordinances from the SMEs point of view. It assesses the implementation of measures planned, especially the administrative burden, the costs involved and the limitations of entrepreneurial independence.

The commission also discusses specific areas of already existing legislation and suggests simplifications or alternatives.

The SME forum provides a place where its members (most of whom are entrepreneurs) and the federal offices can exchange ideas, thus allowing both sides to examine SMEs needs and demands.
